Scott Horton addresses the concerns that Iran is going to blow up one of our cities:
Of course, Horton’s arguments don’t even address the fact that Iran is a sovereign nation and can do as it pleases.
While I don’t want to see Iran become a nuclear power, it is not the place of US citizens to tell Iran that it can not pursue such goals.
I don’t see the citizens of Ecuador rising up in protest over fears that some Arab State might obtain a nuclear weapon. Ask yourself why that is. The answer is obvious of course. Americans know we are running an illegitimate empire and inately know that Iran with a nuke threatens that empire.
The cognitive dissonance among Americans is epic.
Someone should do a study on this.
