I agree with Sierra. Renovating the roof without the help of any expert is a bit dangerous. Maybe he was just annoyed that time, but it would be better if you follow the code.

He’s probably vexed. But if that’s what the code says, then it should be followed. He should’ve asked some experts before he renovated his roof! There are probably many roofing contractors who could do the job.

I don’t know about other states,but I absolutely know 1 thing about Californica: either all 4 roofing contractors I contacted for a 10 minute leak repair are ALL operating illegally, or the State permits roofing contractors to charge a MINIMUM of ~$400.00. That is to simply step onto your roof…”that’ll be $400 dollars, sir”…now, how can I help you?

I prefer to think the latter is correct. You can spout off all you want about laws and violations and juries, but at least this guy isn’t letting his house go to the rats…he’s handling it! If his roof leaks, then he’ll probably rip it up and do it again and eventually he’ll get it right.

Policies are killing our freedom folks! There’s a policy for a policy’s policy. Remove the Y and add and E and what do you have? I echo Femail’s last sentence.
