Police pepper spraying and arresting students at UC Davis

Video description:

Title says all. During peacefully Occupy Movement, police came in to tear down tents and proceeded to arrest students who stood in their way. Once students peacefully demanded the release of the arrested, a police officer unnecessarily pepper sprays the students to open a path for the rest of the officers
The officer who sprayed the students was UC Davis Police Lt. John Pike
Lieutenant John Pike – (530) 752-3989 Email: japikeiii@ucdavis.edu

Apparently several faculty were assaulted and beaten with batons during this fiasco.  Police held students down and forced pepper spray into their mouths when they tried to cover their faces.

I’m not sure why police felt the need to pepper spray a group of students who were sitting on the sidewalk.  I guess that’s just how they roll out there at UC Davis.

Looks like the police are stepping up their tactics on all the protests. They are starting to loose control when they start these kinds of things. It will only make people mad. Then their numbers will increase not decrease.
