As the Eurozone Ponzi scheme implodes, the calls for authoritarian domination by our glorious overlords become more vocal.
In this amusing mutually assured destruction piece, Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski actually says he wants to be dominated by Germany:
“I demand of Germany that, for your own sake and for ours, you help it survive and prosper,” he said. “You know full well that nobody else can do it. I will probably be the first Polish foreign minister in history to say so, but here it is: I fear German power less than I am beginning to fear German inactivity. You have become Europe’s indispensable nation.”
The reason Sikorski is asking to dominated by Germans is because Germany actually produces stuff. Therefore, they are necessary in order to give the Euro value. If Germany bails, all of the other socialist welfare states will have to start producing their own goods once again.
This means they will either have to cut the size of their socialist states or face imminent hyper-inflation of their local currencies. This is on top of the implosion of their private banking sectors.
If one looks deeply at the issue, Sikorski isn’t really asking to be dominated by Germany; he’s really saying he wants to LOOT Germany, and that in return for Germany giving him their loot and propping up their massive welfare state, the Poles will agree to whatever demands Germany may make of them.
Of course, none of the Polish or German plebes will have any say in this nonsense. This is for the political class to decide.
