Holy crap this pisses me off. How can anyone read this and not come away an anarchist?

The DMV tried to take my friend's license away for some alleged accident
they said he was in. What he did was search the net for similar
situations. He found a case Bell v. Burson where a clergyman was
involved in an accident when a little girl rode her bike into his car.
The state tried to take his license away without him being able to offer
evidence of his lack of fault. Which was essentially what they were
doing to my friend they wanted his license without any trial or any way
for him to defend himself. So, he wrote them a really good letter citing
the case and they left him alone.

I don't know if writing any letters would have helped in this situation,
but in the Bell v. Burson case part of the ruling was that a "licenses
may become essential in the pursuit of a livelihood" which seems to be
the case in this guy's situation.
