You’re whole stance on scientists being a bunch of money grubbing liars is laughable. What do you propose? That libertarians like you pick and choose what you’d like to believe as fact with little to no expertise on the subject? You actually think that this is superior to peer-review? Your whole view on science is a circular argument; you’re like a dog chasing its own tail.

I don’t mean to put words in your mouth but by thinking that uninformed people should have more sway than people who ARE informed is ridiculous. Are we supposed to have a team of uneducated libertarians watching over the scientists to make sure they aren’t pulling a fast one on us? Sorry but that’s what peer-review does; you don’t need to waste your time cherry picking studies and writing long ill-informed articles about stuff you have no expertise in.

Why is it that all libertarians come off as bitter 40 year old balding men with too much time on their hands writing page after page of hogwash that only other libertarians read? You’re preaching to the choir and or providing entertainment for non-libertarians.

I joke with my friends that the future of Warhammer 40k awaits if we keep deifying Science, and treating scientists as infallible, but it definitely seems like we are headed that way. The response to the first article proves these things are matters of faith for most people, and dissent from the prevailing theory is considered sacrilegious. That said, there may be libertarian physicists that accept the evidence for the Standard Model and Higgs boson as compelling, so it seems a bit unfair to paint the whole establishment with the broad brush of statism. If the massive experiments needed to prove/disprove such theories have any practical significance, they can be funded by voluntary capital and not at the point of a gun. I commend the author for writing thought-provoking articles and supplying a website that is very well organized.
