Well I guess I consider arguing for voluntarism a non-political argument in that respect. I look at political arguments as arguing in favor or against some kind of state policy. Under voluntarism, no one would be making any kind of policy arguments because there would be no institution of force to employ them.

I share the author's opinion about a likely monetary collapse and impotence of free-market ideology to prevent it as a practical matter in today's world. I suspect that the author would agree, however, that ideologies and the "political" arguments that contribute to their formation DO matter greatly. As Mises rightly observed, the ruling class cannot rule without a predominate common ideology (not his words, I paraphrase). Nor could any form of free society exist without a generally shared ideology. Political arguments made and understood before the collapse will matter greatly in what follows the collapse, because such arguments will influence the ideology that prevails. Keep on keepin' on.

Excellent article! It's reality-based and informative. The assessment of our "liabilities" as taxpayers is critical to the discussion of rational solutions.

My goal is to help return America to the People. Our interests would be best served by a Government that conformed in size and power to the limitations prescribed by our Constitution, and our economic issues would be best resolved within the private sector.

If anyone is interested in learning about an independent option, I hope they'll visit http://TJOHARA.com.
