Patrick Clawson suggests that a Gulf Of Tonkin style “covert” event should be utilized to start a war with Iran during a Washington Institute For Near East Policy conference. Clawson is an economist who has worked for the IMF and World Bank, as well as doing frequent work for the Council on Foreign Relations.
To people like Clawson, war is a foregone conclusion. The only thing that remains is to convince the American public to go along with it, even if that means staging a “covert” event in order to provoke Iran into a shooting war. Pretty bloodthirsty rhetoric from the people who are advising the criminal political class.
