Anita Moorjani On Surviving End Stage Cancer

“Our rules and laws feel like they were created by blind people, for blind people.” – Anita Moorjani

On February 2nd, 2006, Anita Moorjani lay in a coma from end stage cancer (Hodgkin’s Lymphoma).  Her body was riddled with tumors the size of lemons from the base of her neck to the bottom of her torso.  She had open lesions all over her body and she had gone into organ failure.  The senior oncologist attending gave her, at the most, 36 hours to live.

While Anita was in this comatose state, she had a near death experience.  During the experience, she was given a choice about returning to her body or continuing on into death.  Anita chose to return.

Immediately her body began to heal itself.  Within days, the tumors in her body had visibly shrunk to less than half their size.  Within a few weeks, doctors conducted a lymph node biopsy which showed there was no sign of any cancer in her body.  She was subsequently put through a bone marrow biopsy and a full body scan, both of which showed no cancer to be present.

Anita went from a comatose state of organ failure to a full recovery from end stage Hodgkin’s Lymphoma within a month.  Her recovery is unprecedented, with no medical explanation being able to fully account for it.  Anita says she knew she would be completely healed if she chose to return.

Listen to Anita talk about her views of cancer and consciousness.
