Edward Snowden, v 1.0: NSA Whistleblower William Binney Tells All

During the interview, when Binney is questioned about how Edward Snowden could have gotten away with as much data as he did, Binney notes that NSA management and analysts rejected network monitoring and auditing because it could have made them accountable for program results and program costs.

So that means NSA analysts, who have access to all of your personal data, have absolutely ZERO accountability to anyone over how they access that data.  They could be doing all sorts of illegal things with your data and there is no way to track any of it.  In other words, the NSA is very good at recording everything YOU do, but it doesn’t keep a record of anything it does.
