Some state laws are wacky, but this one just jumps out at me:
Every member of a subversive organization, or an organization subject to foreign control, every foreign agent and every person who advocates, teaches, advises or practices the duty, necessity or propriety of controlling, conducting, seizing or overthrowing the government of the United States, of this State or of any political subdivision thereof by force or violence or other unlawful means, who resides, transacts any business or attempts to influence political action in this State, shall register with the Secretary of State on the forms and at the times prescribed by him.
Clearly a highly effective law.
I’m sure this one is just about as good at reducing violent revolution as gun laws are at reducing violent crime.
While I certainly don’t condone violence, such action against tyrannical government IS PROTECTED under the Declaration of Independence – which is US law, no matter what the communists would have you believe.
You can find the Declaration in the US code books filed as a LAW.
Our country was founded out of violent revolution against a tyrannical government, thus I have to reject on moral and natural rights grounds any law that prohibits the peoples ability to revolt against tyranny.
I’m sure I’ll take some heat over that one.
